I am listed as the contact (i.e., Community Manager) for our Socialcast site, but when I login, I don't have the option in the gear drop-down for admin settings. Is there a way to correct this?
My current email address is not in the same domain as the community so my default community is not the same as the one for which I am listed as the Community Manager.
I appear to belong to the community since it shows up in the same gear drop-down, but when I click on it to switch to that community, it asks me to login again. When I do, I get a message telling me my creds are not recognized.
A group of about 10 colleagues is actively blogging on their own website and we're importing their RSS feed into SocialCast. I frequently get remarks from them, that the import has stopped. How can I troubleshoot this? Are there logs that tell me why the import failed?
When I check their URL, I get a nice XML response as expected.
When I open their import settings in the SocialCast web feed and then save that feed again, it starts working again.
im wondering, since facebook deprecated their rss/atom feeds ( Facebook Platform Changelog ), is it still possible to import facebook-posts into socialcast?
I am currently unable to log in to my SocialCast app on my iPad. I have successfully changed my community URL and keep getting stuck on the log in page once I have inputted my email and password.
So far I have deleted the app and re downloaded it in the hope that this will fix the issue- it has not!!
I have been trying this for several weeks and cannot get this to work!
I want to avoid that people are posting something in socialcast if the post is not being posted in 1 (or more) socialcast groups that we defined in our organization. Is this possible?
Is it possible to start a chat with a group instead of adding a bunch of individual users to chat with everyone? This would be useful in the event of an outage or something of that sort.
I'm a new user/admin of SocialCast and was wondering if there is a way to have all project updates (that I'm a member/lead of) show up in my home feed? Right now, I have to go into the projects to see the updates.
Is there an administrator function or line command to refresh micro-data cache for Open Graph meta data in SocialCast? We’re noticing OGP is pulling old old meta data when users enter URL with updated OG tags. It’s been like this for a couple weeks now. I think Facebook may have a ?fbrefresh= parameter that does something like this...???
With a small group we're trying out Socialcast at our company. In our research phase, we also signed up and tried out the core features of the platform. However, now we want to move into a more hands-on pilot with a larger select group and I, as an admin, want to remove the all the content/data we've created. Although I can't seem to find this within the Admin settings. Does anybody know if this is possible? If so, I'd love to hear from you.
Hey guys - tried calling the toll free number at bottom of Contact page, but it didn't work.
Been a few months since I logged into my Socialcast account. I'm owner of the account - created it and was only Admin. We started it when it was free for first 50 users - moved to Basecamp for more users, but I still have some projects that were live (though mostly dormant) in Socialcast.
Tried logging in yesterday, got nothing - username/password not recognized. Did the Forgot Password trick and it said an email was sent with a link to reset the password, but nothing has shown up 24 hours later (checked spam and other folders)
Would like to log in and clean out resources and move them to the new solution we put in place. Can someone help me get into my account again?
Hello, I'm currently a new support technician and working to become efficient at supporting socialcast. Unfortunately I've ran into problems trying to get my test lab setup with the proper certificates to allow me to continue with setting up LDAP.
Basically, I've been told that this site has everything I need to get the certificates working correctly. However, I'm only able to get a single Self-Signed certificate created without issues.
Once I get to step 11.2 I got thrown off because I don't have a ".pfx" file to convert. At this point I used this site to create a .pfx file by following this part of the procedure (How do I export or import a PKCS#12 certificate?).
Once I created the pfx file by following the above procedure I was able to continue. I completed creating the socialcast.pem file by concatenating the files via> cat socialcast.key socialcast.crt > socialcast.pem
I then uploaded the certificate to my socialcast SCMC node via the Cluster Configuration > SSL Configuration page.
It creates the certificate but I don't have the necessary "Intermediate Certificate" required to continue with setting up LDAP for my lab.
I think I'm mixing up to too many procedures and documents. Any ideas on why I don't have an Intermediate cert? Thanks for any suggestions!

Certificate
I would have been content with this certificate if it allowed me to setup my LDAP per this procedure. However, I'm getting errors trying to authenticate to the active directory/LDAP server. My team lead wanted me to get this working and then proceed with setting up SSO. However, I can't proceed with LDAP/SSO without a proper working "Intermediate Certificate"...
I get this error when trying to setup LDAP>
C:/Ruby193/lib/ruby/1.9.1/openssl/ssl-internal.rb:170:in `post_connection_check': hostname does not match the server certificate (OpenSSL::SSL::SSLError)
I noticed that if I attempt to make api calls to my socialcast server I also have certificate errors.
Example of api call to my socialcast server>

I know this is a lot of info to digest but I greatly appreciate any assistance with this. I'm new to web certificates and must be missing something. It's not the easiest process to follow.
We have a mobile application that has references to some of the socialcast discussion groups, articles, etc. When the URLs for these items are launched they go to the browser with no option to choose the Socialcast mobile app. However the presentation of the site on mobile devices isn't a great experience.
I have the socialcast app on my Samsung tablet but can not find an option to change my profile picture. It is possible to do this using the socialcast url in a browser but I believe it should be possible to change it in the app?
Please let me know how this is possible, or add this feature to the app.
