VMware Player and snapshots

Hi,

I'm using with much satisfaction VMware Player, but I suffer the lack of availability of the "snapshots" feature.

I know I could buy the VMware Workstation but it has too many other features (and is expensive, given those features) that I don't need.

Is there some other intermediate version having this functionality ?

VMware Fusion 5 seems appropriate to me, but it is unclear if it can be run on a Windows machine (it seems appropriate for a Mac).
