Hello all,
I created a virtual machine with Workstation 10. I have 1 ethernet slot in motherboard and 3 additionnal Ethernet single board.
With application Editor virtual network i created
- vmnet 0 bridge to the Ethernet mother board (Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-LM)
- vmnet 2 bridge to 1 additionnal Ethernet board (Intel(R) Ethernet I210-T1 Gbe NIC)
- vmnet 3 bridge to the second additionnal Ethernet board (Intel(R) Ethernet I210-T1 Gbe NIC #2)
- vmnet 4 bridge to the second additionnal Ethernet board (Intel(R) Ethernet I210-T1 Gbe NIC #3)
after in VM -> setting, I create each Network Adapter for the VM
- Network Adapter with custom Vmnet 0 (Bridged)
- Network Adapter#2 with custom Vmnet 2 (Bridged)
- Network Adapter#3 with custom Vmnet 3 (Bridged)
- Network Adapter#4 with custom Vmnet 4 (Bridged)
when the VM is started i configure each network adapter with @IP address
the first point i have some difficulties to find the good slot HW behind the PC to connect the good cable on this slot. Only for additional Ethernet board.
I supposed that the first Ethernet Adapter behind was called AMD PCNet Adapter#2 but it's not the same order that previously in virtual network Editor.
Do you know how to do the good correlation?
After i uninstall Workstation and install VM PLayer.
I try to run this VM under VM Player. All is fine excepted the Ethernet board.
with the same place of cables, same configuration IP nothing is running.
Inside VM Player i saw that i lost the Bridged for Ethernet Board...
so inside VM player i tried to configure by setting each Network Adapter to a specific board directly but the previous configuration IP is not on the good AMD PCNet Adapter after. And i can not reconfigure it because after i have @IP conflict under windows.
How i can keep my bridged Network between migration Workstation and VM Player, please?
Thank you so much for your help.
