*Ubuntu14.04-HOST/Win8.1-GUEST - Display Flickers Rapidly - AMD Proprietary Driver?
Hi,
I am running current VMWare Player 7 on a Kubuntu 14.04 L.T.S. 64Bit host
with a Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit guest.
I have an AMD Radeon HD 7870 PCIe 2GB GDDR5 graphic adaptor
and have installed AMD's 14.6 Beta proprietary display driver from AMD site.
The problem is with VMWare Player 7.
After some time the display of Player 7 becomes corrupted?
It goes blank and flickers rapidly?
I have installed Player's VMWare Tools.
If I disable 3D Acceleration in virtual machine settings the problem goes away?
Anyone know how to fix this problem? thanks!
