My host is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.
I just upgraded from VMware Player 5.0.1 to 6.0.7, and installed VDDK 6.0.0 ("vstor2install.bat"), and now I can no longer get "Map Virtual Disk" from the player GUI to work. I get a dialog with the title "vixDiskMountServer.exe - Application Error" and the content "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." and eventually a second dialog with the title "VMware Player" and the content "There was a problem trying to map the virtual disk volume."
I am still able to run virtual machines.
Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong here?
