I am attempting to install a x64 version of server 2008 on my VMware Player V3.1.4 software. Upon the first bootup it stated that my system was not x64 capable and to get my bios settings to allow VT. When I went into my bios settings, three settings were available to allow under vitualization support. These options were: Enable Intel Virtualization Technology, Enable VT for Direct I/O, and Enable Intel Trusted Execution Technology. I clicked all three of these options and rebooted the system. I went back into the bios to confirm that the changes had stuck, and they did except the Enable Intel Trusted Execution Technology. I tried to select this again with no success. I do not know why this will not remain selected, but I tried to load the VM again with the first two selected. Even with the first two selected it still gives the error that VT must be allowed. I did some research and it says that only VMware Players V2.5.* and earlier are not x64 capabale. Any ideas as to why this is happening. Thanks for any help.
